#WeeklyBlockDiwas *Public Grievances redressal/ Awareness camps held in all the Subdivisions of the District* _DDC Doda leads the grievances redressal/ Awareness camp at Berraru._ Doda, July 06; As a part of the weekly Block Diwas initiative launched by the Government of J&K, several teams of senior level officers of District administration today conducted public outreach programmes, across the district to listen to the issues of public and the PRIs. This Wednesday Block Diwas program was held at Panchayat Ghar Sunarthawa, Thathri, Panchayat Ganohta, Assar, Higher Secondary school Beraru Bhalla, (Bhaderwah) and Panchayat Manjmi, Bimana of Bhagwah Block.District Development Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma presided over the Block Diwas programme at Higher Secondary School Berreru of Bhalla Tehsil. He interacted with PRIs and public. Numbers of demands/ grievances were put forth by the PRIs and general public which include replacement of Wooden rotten electric poles by JPDCL in panchayat Pranoo, providing safe drinking water to the public of village Chondri and Sindra, Restoration of irrigation canal of Rewara panchayat, providing adequate teaching staff in the Higher Secondary School Berreru, early settlement of building issue of NTPHC Pranoo etc.DDC Doda while interacting with the public said that the weekly Block Diwas is a UT Administration initiative aiming at to have direct public access to the officers in the administration that too at their doorsteps. While replying to the issues he directed the JPDCL authorities to replace the wooden electric poles with the steel poles through any of the feasible schemes. On the water shortage issue of Chondri and Sindra panchayat he asked the Jal Shakti Department to ensure the coverage of these two panchayats in JJM. CEO Doda was instructed to resolve the issue of shortage of teaching staff in HSS Berreru in the shortest possible time to avoid the spoiling current academic session of the students. On the restoration of Berreru Canal the Ex En I&FC informed that the tenders have been issued for its restoration. DDC directed all the officers to take up the issues raised here in the Block Diwas and give the action taken report to his office with the comments and recommendation of taking the matter with higher authorities if required for early redressal of the genuine demands. DDC was accompanied by ADC Bhaderwah Ch. Dil Mir and other district and sectoral officers.At other designated locations which include Panchayat Ghar Sunarthawa, Thathri, Panchayat Ganohta, Assar, Higher Secondary school Beraru Bhalla, Bhaderwah and Panchayat Manjmi, Bimana Bhagwah, the day long Block Diwas proceedings were witnessed. Public and PRIs put forth a range of issues/ demands. They demanded augmentation of water supply and electricity, macadamization of roads, meeting dearth of staff in schools and hospitals, upgradation of schools, banking facilities in rural areas, release of pending wages under MGNREGA etc.The Presiding officers of the Block Diwas gave patient hearing to the issues and demands and directed the concerned officers to prepare a list of issues/grievances raised pertaining to their departments and resolve the same at an earliest.As many as 202 grievances/ applications were received at all locations out of which 185 were disposed of on the spot. Besides, 48 Domicile certificates, 14 Category certificates, 6 birth/ death certificates were issued to the eligible beneficiaries. Also 120 eligible beneficiaries were issued KCC and 10 beneficiaries were given AB- PMJAY SEHAT cards. Moreover 971 works under MGNREGA, District Capex, 14th FC and other schemes were started today.

Chairperson, Block Development Council, Gundna, Sarshad Natnoo reviews functioning of different Line departments of Block Gundna.*Rahi vijay Sharma*Chairperson, Block Development Council, Gundna, Sarshad Natnoo today convened a meeting with officers of different departments in his office chamber to review the progress made under various centrally sponsored schemes, flagship programmes being implemented by the Line department's in Block Gundna.The meeting was attended by Sectoral Officers of different departments. In the meeting, detailed sector wise review was held which mainly includes farm machinery, distribution of quality seeds, Per Drop Per Crop under PMKSY, Integrated diary development under IDDS, Cattle feed units, Fodder Development scheme, Fasal Bima Yojana, KCC, PM-Kissan, Status of different schemes under execution, physical and financial achievements of different departments etc discussed in detail.The BDC Chairperson asked the officers to put in their dedicated efforts in accelerating the tempo of developmental activities pertaining to their departments so that desired targets could be achieved in a time bound manner. While reviewing the sector wise performance of Line Departments, the BDC Chairperson asked the officers to create awareness among the masses about the different income generating schemes by organizing camps in rural areas. He laid stress on enhancing the production of Mushroom, Honey, Saffron by encouraging the farming community about the cultivation of these crops.The BDC Chairperson further stressed upon the officers to rejuvenate their efforts for achievement of optimum results on ground so that the benefits of development percolate to the masses at gross root level espacially when poor people of rural areas are suffering in these times of covid pandemic.He said that participation in the planning process is mandatory for all the departments for implementation of Govt. schemes so that benefits of schemes reach to genuine beneficiaries.

*DC Doda holds interaction with media persons, briefed about present status of Covid-19 in the district*_Says admin has augmented sufficient bed capacity at various levels, monitoring regular supply of oxygen cylinders_*Majority of cases under home isolation,all are asymptomatic, medicine kits are being provided, Vaccination sites increased from 19 to 34*_Appeal people above 45 years to get vaccinated, asked locals to follow lockdown restrictions_*Rahi vijay Sharma*Doda,May 17:In order to disseminate accurate information regarding current Covid-19 scenario in the district, the Deputy Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma today held media briefing here at conference hall of DC office Doda.The DC informed that at present the tally of active cases in the district is 872 out of which majority of the cases are under home isolation and all of them are asymptomatic, besides medicine kits including pulse oximeter are also being provided to them by the designated teams as per the directions of Hon'ble LG UT of JK.The DC also urged people under home isolation to monitor their progress of recovery on daily basis, besides asked them to inform to the control room in case of any severity.Regarding bed capacity the DC informed that district has augmented sufficient bed capacity at different levels, adding to this said that there is no dearth of oxygen supply, besides supply is being daily monitored by the concerned.Regarding vaccination the DC informed that in order to initiate vaccination on larger level the vaccination sites have been increased from 19 to 34, besides urged people above 45 to get vaccinated at an earliest, adding to this says if demand from people of any area comes the Administration shall also organise special vaccination drive for them on priority.Regarding micro containment zones,the DC informed that till now 6 areas have been designated as per the frequency of positive cases in the area, besides said that testing is also being ensured and is ongoing till the entire population of the respective area is not tested.The DC asked the people to follow the lockdown restrictions, urged not to venture outside unnecessarily, besides asked the people above 45 yrs to get vaccinated at their nearest vaccination site on priority basis.
