Yoga plays an important role in living a healthy life. Yoga is also helpful during Current Covid-19 pendamic, it improves immunity and keeps us fit. This was stated by District Development Commissioner Doda, Vikas Sharma, while briefing media on international Yoga Day and Covid-19 scenario in the district.It was informed that positivity rate is on continuous decline with only 722 active cases in the district and Covid-19 restrictions are gradually easing out. But the situation demands observing Covid-19 appropriate behaviour and following SOPs more vigorously to contain the future spread of infection, he added.He further said that Government has formally launched free vaccine for age group 18 and above throughout the country. But the free vaccination of age group 18 to 44 years has already been started in out District and targeted population is responding empathatically. He appeals left out 45 years and above person to come out for vaccination, as vaccination is only protection available to counter Coronavirus. While talking on oxygen generation and availability, he said that 1500 LPM Oxygen Generation capacity shall further be augmented by 1000 LPM plant in GMC Doda. Our GMC is self reliant in terms of Oxygen Generation and soon the CHC Bhaderwah and Gandoh shall have their own oxygen generation plants.

DIC Doda organizes vaccination camp for 18+ journalistsSulinder Parihar Sarazi, first young journalist to take covid vaccine in district DODA, June 15: District Information Centre (DIC) Doda on Tuesday organized a vaccination camp for media persons at the Boys Higher Secondary School, Doda in which about 10 media persons coming in the age group 18-44 age group where vaccinated. The drive was conducted on the directions of Deputy Commissioner, Doda, Vikas Sharma and District Information Officer Doda (DIO), Doda, Mohammad Ashraf Wani. The Journalist working day- night in district Doda also being vaccinated at district headquarters.The media persons working for international, national and vernacular press organizations got first dose of the vaccine during the drive. Those inoculated with anti covid-19 vaccine included reporters, sub- editors, editors and many journalists working with Digital media, both print and electronic media outletsSpeaking on the importance of holding vaccination drive for journalists, DIO, Mohd Ashraf Wani said that media persons have been categorised as a priority group for vaccination by the Government and nature of their duties is such that they come in public contact during reporting, that is why this high-risk group is being vaccinated on priority, He said that the Information department in coordination with the Department of Family Welfare, MCH and Immunization and Health department shall ensure all media persons get vaccinated. Information department has urged the journalists working with print, electronic media to come forward for vaccination as it is important for their safety and their families as they have to perform their professional duties everywhere and require protection from the risk of contracting infection.Sulinder Parihar Sarazi, the first young journalist to take Coronavirus vaccine in district Doda. Speaking to reporters, Sulinder Parihar said, "It has been 6 hours since I took the first dose of cronavirus vaccine -Covaxin. I am completely fine and normal."Seeking to dispel rumours about the indigenously development cronavirus vaccine, he urged people not to believe in roumours, vaccine is completely safe. There to nothing to worry about.

*Vaccination drive for 18-44 years age group kick-starts at Doda*_CMO Urges people especially high risk groups to get vaccinated at an earliest at the nearest vaccination sites, Asks people stick to SOPs_*Rahi vijay sharma*Doda, June 15: The District Administration Doda today kick started vaccination drive for persons of age group from 18-44 years. The process commenced smoothly at all the 06 special vaccination sites established across the district to vaccinate the beneficiaries. The centers were established at accessible destinations so that beneficiaries could easily approach these centers and get vaccinated. Meanwhile, Chief Medical Officer Doda, Dr Yaqoob Mir today inspected vaccination site namely Boys Hr Sec School Doda and took stock of the vaccination process. He urged the eligible beneficiaries especially vulnerable groups to get vaccinated at an earliest.He added that more than 71 percent of the population above the age of 45 years was already vaccinated and process of vaccinating the rest persons of this age group is going on at war footing.It has been given out by the CMO that many high risk beneficiaries which includes shopkeepers, media persons, barbers, lawyers etc also actively participated in the vaccination drive today.He also stated that adherence to SOPs is very vital at this juncture and people shall stick to SOPs to stop spread of this virus.

_*Dal Draman is a beautiful spot 30 km of Doda Town, amidst lofty deodar and fir trees, is one of the best tourist sites of the district of Doda near village Bagla of Barath Tehsil_ *4 kilometres west by foot from Bagla to reach the Dal Draman*Dal draman in English means Red Meadows. Dal Draman offers a variety of beutiful landscapes, extremely soothing and pleasant summer, numerous spots of scenic splendor and snow winter.Dali to Bagla 5 km road is complete demanded blacktop at Bagla and Demand of the people for construction of Bagla to Dal Draman defence road 5 km. For last couple of years people from different parts of district reqularly visit Dal Draman for picnics, camping & also some tourists have started to come for winter sports like skiing because of good amount of snowfall of approx 5-6 feet in winters. Despite being exotic & beautiful tourist spot, it lacks infrastructure and there is still no motorable road which can be used and to reach there.One has to walk approx. 5 km from the nearest bus stop which is in village Bagla to reach Dal Draman.

Chairperson, Block Development Council, Gundna, Sarshad Natnoo reviews functioning of different Line departments of Block Gundna.*Rahi vijay Sharma*Chairperson, Block Development Council, Gundna, Sarshad Natnoo today convened a meeting with officers of different departments in his office chamber to review the progress made under various centrally sponsored schemes, flagship programmes being implemented by the Line department's in Block Gundna.The meeting was attended by Sectoral Officers of different departments. In the meeting, detailed sector wise review was held which mainly includes farm machinery, distribution of quality seeds, Per Drop Per Crop under PMKSY, Integrated diary development under IDDS, Cattle feed units, Fodder Development scheme, Fasal Bima Yojana, KCC, PM-Kissan, Status of different schemes under execution, physical and financial achievements of different departments etc discussed in detail.The BDC Chairperson asked the officers to put in their dedicated efforts in accelerating the tempo of developmental activities pertaining to their departments so that desired targets could be achieved in a time bound manner. While reviewing the sector wise performance of Line Departments, the BDC Chairperson asked the officers to create awareness among the masses about the different income generating schemes by organizing camps in rural areas. He laid stress on enhancing the production of Mushroom, Honey, Saffron by encouraging the farming community about the cultivation of these crops.The BDC Chairperson further stressed upon the officers to rejuvenate their efforts for achievement of optimum results on ground so that the benefits of development percolate to the masses at gross root level espacially when poor people of rural areas are suffering in these times of covid pandemic.He said that participation in the planning process is mandatory for all the departments for implementation of Govt. schemes so that benefits of schemes reach to genuine beneficiaries.

*Chief Executive Officer SHA J&K Ayushman Bharat visits Doda,took stock of registration of beneficiaries under AB PM-JAY and SEHAT scheme*_Directs all stakeholders to expedite the registration of beneficiaries under health insurance scheme,Asks to carry aggressive IEC activities at grassroot level for 100% coverage of eligible beneficiaries with active coordination of PRI's_*Rahi vijay Sharma*Doda,June 08:The Chief Executive Officer State Health Agency J&K Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY,Dr Sagar D Doifode today visited Doda, chaired the meeting of concerned health officers/Officials, besides took stock of the progress made under Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY and SEHAT scheme.At the outset the CMO Doda presented the detailed powerpoint presentation highlighting the achievements made by the District till date under the aforementioned scheme which includes total families identified, total verified members, registrations done, status of Ayushman card Generation, claims submitted, paid and amount required.The CEO directed the concerned authorities to expedite the progress of registration of all beneficiaries by way of organising special registration camps at rural areas, besides asked the CMO Doda to schedule roster for registration camps in far off places in coordination with BDC Chairpersons and DDC members.The CEO has also lauded the concerned authorities for making the progress comprehensively better in pre authos registration parameter, besides asked the concerned to book the bill of every individual who gets the treatment in every empanelled public health institutions.The CEO has also sought suggestions how to improve the performance, listened to the issues of the employees working under the ambit of SHA, besides asked them to work in tandem for better results.The meeting was attended by ADC Doda, CMO Doda, District Information Officer, BMOs, District Nodal Officer besides other officials of the concerned department.

*UTRC inspected District Jail Bhaderwah.* _Reviewed cases of all under-trail prisoners, took stock of basic facilities and listened grievances of jail inmates_ *Rahi vijay Sharma*DODA, JUNE 4: In compliance to directions of Supreme Court of India and as per protocol prepared by the District Legal Services Authority, the Under Trial Review Committee (UTRC) inspected District Jail Bhaderwah to review cases of all under-trail prisoners.The Committee comprised of Virender Singh Bahu Chairman District Legal Services Authority and Principal District & Sessions Judge Bhaderwah, District Magistrate Doda Vikas Sharma, Secretary/ Sub Judge DLSA Mudasir Farooq, SP Headquarter Master Popsy, Additional Deputy Commissioner Bhaderwah Rakesh Kumar, Superintendent of Jail Bhaderwah Surinder Singh, SDPO Gafoor Mir, SHO Bhaderwah Kamal Hussain, besides other Officers and officials.During the visit, the Committee took stock of basic necessities available to the prisoners including clean drinking water, food, medical care, sanitation, proper clothing and bedding hygiene in kitchen, toilets and barracks etc.The Committee also interacted with the inmates to listen to their grievances and issued on the spot directions to the concerned authorities regarding redressal of genuine concerns of the prisoners there.

*DC Doda inspected 5 bedded Covid Care facilities established at Nichlathara and Drudhu panchayats of Bhaderwah*_Says Deployment of staff with necessary medical equipments ensured in all 237 Covid care cum isolation Centres established at Panchayat levels for proper functioning_*Rahi vijay Sharma*Doda,June 03:Acting upon the directions of Hon'ble LG,and as a precautionary measure to ensure the timely treatment of the Covid patients, the district administration has established 05 bedded Covid care cum isolation Centers across all 237 panchayats of the district.In this regard, the DDC Doda Vikas Sharma today held physical inspection of the facilities at Nichlathara and Drudhu panchayat respectively, besides enquired about the availability of staff as well as other necessary equipments and medicines required for the smooth functioning of the Covid Care cum isolation Centres.The DDC while speaking on the occasion informed that the move has been scaled up to decentralise the health care facilities amid Coronavirus threat, besides to provide the isolation facilities to the people who shall be lacking the facilities in their own house especially in the rural areas.The DDC said that panchayat level covid management teams have also been constituted which includes Sarpanch, Panches, Secretary panchayat, Asha, Anganwadi workers etc for the smooth functioning of the isolation Centres, besides pulse oximeters, thermometers, oxygen cylinders, medicine kits and other required stuff have been provided for the better care of the people who shall be kept in these facilities in the upcoming days.He further says the Committee shall also identify the potential and suspected cases by way of conducting testing in their respective areas so that the precious lives can be safeguarded by the early intervention of the medical department, besides awareness can also be generated about the preventive measures.Among others present during the inspection are ADC Bhaderwah, BMO Bhaderwah, BDO Bhaderwah besides other concerned officials of different departments.

*DC Doda held meeting on operationalization of panchayat level Covid care centres, acceleration in vaccination drive and testing in rural areas.* _Directed CMO to ensure testing facility in all 212 medical institutions of the District_ . *Rahi vijay Sharma*Doda, June, 1; DC Doda Vikas Sharma held a meeting of health department, ICDS, and RDD in relation to the functioning of Panchayat level Covid care centres and acceleration of Covid-19 testing and Vaccination in the district. Meeting was attended by ADC Doda, PO-ICDS Doda, ACD Doda, CMO Doda, DIO Doda and other officers and officials of District Covid cell & health department.While reviewing the functioning of Panchayat level CCCs, it was given out that all the 237 CCCs are fully functional with adequate bedding, basic medicines, Covid management Kits, testing kits etc.DC directed the ACD to monitor the functioning of these Panchayat CCCs on daily basis, and activate the village management committees for better care of Covid Positive patients in these centres. PO-ICDS and ACD were further directed to inspect the working of panchayat level Covid care centres personally for better management and monitoring.CMO Doda was also directed to ensure that testing facility is available in all 212 medical institutions in the District along with trained manpower and RAT kits. He was further directed to increase the vaccination in the district by establishing more testing sites in collaboration with the elected representatives of the district.
