*Tejas Ek Pahal Foundation, District Administration Doda, Tourism Department, and Indian Army Organize Lal Draman Winter Festival 2025 to Celebrate Culture, Tourism, and Community Spirit*_Doda/Rahi Vijay Sharma_The Lal Draman Winter Festival 2025 was successfully held on February 8, 2025, in the picturesque region of Lal Draman, Doda. Organized by the District Administration in collaboration with Tejas Ek Pahal Foundation (NGO), the Tourism Department, and the Indian Army, the festival showcased a vibrant array of cultural and recreational activities. The Lal Draman Winter Festival 2025 was inaugurated by Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, who emphasized the government's vision of transforming the region into a major tourist destination by exploring new locations. The festival concluded with a flag rally and the playing of the National Anthem, instilling a sense of unity and pride among attendees.Attendees were treated to singing competitions, cultural programs, sports events, traditional Daku dance performances, local art exhibitions, and food stalls featuring regional cuisine. The event also featured a plantation drive organized by the Forest Department, in collaboration with the Tourism Department and Rural Development Department, focusing on environmental conservation efforts. The festival attracted a remarkable turnout, drawing individuals of all ages from various areas of the Doda district. The enthusiastic participation of men, women, and children alike contributed to a lively and inclusive atmosphere, reinforcing the sense of community and camaraderie amidst the breathtaking snowy landscape of Lal Draman. Today on 22nd January 2025 a volleyball tournament was held at kuluhand playground organised by Indian army kulhand CoyFour teams of different villages including a team of army officials participated in the event..The games were played nicely by all the four team , We are thankful to Indian army for creating such events for the youth of the area. The whole tournament held under the able supervision and guidance of Naresh sir.

*Nehru Yuva Kendra Doda, in collaboration with Tejass Ek Pahal Foundation NGO, District Administration Doda, and NSS Volunteers GDC Doda, is celebrating Road Safety Week from January 17 to 23, 2025*_Doda /Rahi Vijay Sharma_ The event aims to raise awareness about traffic rules and safety issues among the general public in Doda district.As part of the celebrations, 60 volunteers participated in the program, spreading awareness about road safety. Traffic DYSP Doda and ARTO Doda also recognized and awarded passengers, drivers, and members of the public for following traffic rules.This initiative is in line with the National Road Safety Month, which is observed annually to promote road safety awareness and reduce accidents ¹. Similar events have been organized in the past, including a road safety awareness campaign by the Motor Vehicles Department in Doda, which focused on safe driving practices and adherence to traffic rules ².

*Provide salary according to “Minimum Wages Act” and any Lamberdar/Chowkidar who retire at the age of 60 provide monthly pension to them: JKLC*_Doda/Rahi Vijay Sharma _ Jammu Kashmir Lamberdars and Chowkidars Union unit Doda submits memorandum to Deputy Commissioner Doda Sh Harvinder Singh, IAS in memorandum it includes the burning demands to provide monthly salary to them according to atleast mentioned in Minimum Wages Act.The main demands of Lamberdars and Chowkidars of District Doda includes (1)Provide us salary in accordance to Minimum Wages Act. (2) Any Lamberdar or Chowkidar who retire at the age of 60 years provide monthly pension to them and 3rd provide identity cards to all Lamberdars and Chowkidars. Chairman Mukesh Parihar (Phone number 8492866752 ) Jammu Kashmir Lamberdars and Chowkidars Union said that the Lamberdars and Chowkidars of District Doda are living in pathetic condition. We get Rs 1501 only for Lamberdars and only Rs 1500 for Chowkidars per month by our government. As you are aware that under new guidelines any Lamberdar or Chowkidar must know read and write and most of the newly recruited Lamberdars or Chowkidars are highly qualified. As the new technology were introduced in Revenue Department every small and big work goes online. Due to this improvement in Revenue Department our work becomes very difficult now.Lamberdari and Chowkidari are our prime occupation. We are unable to pay tution fees of school going childrens. We are living in miserable condition. *Tejass Ek Pahal Foundation Conducts Cleanliness Drive at Girls Higher Secondary School Doda Under the theme "Swabhav Swachta Sanskar Swachta"*. _Doda/Rahi Vijay Sharma_ As part of the Swachta Hi Sewa campaign, Tejass Ek Pahal Foundation organized a significant cleanliness drive at Girls Higher Secondary School Doda. The initiative, led by Youth President Koshal Singh, in the governance and Guideance Of Chairman Tejass Ek pahal foundation Akash Parihar was held under the theme "Swabhav Swachta Sansakar Swachta."The drive witnessed the active participation of 100 enthusiastic girl students, who engaged in cleaning the school premises, promoting hygiene, and spreading awareness about the importance of cleanliness in their community.While Speaking with Youth President Tejas Ek pahal Foundation Koshal Singh he remarked“Inspiring our youth to embrace cleanliness is essential for fostering a healthier environment. *SSP Kishtwar facilitates introductory meeting with senior citizens, members of Sanathan Dharam Saba and Majlish-E-Shoura committee Kishtwar & representatives from all the political parties*_KISTHWAR/RAHI VIJAY SHARMA_*In a bid to strengthen community engagement and address local concerns, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kishtwar, Sh. Abdul Qayoom-JKPS,* convened an introductory meeting with representatives from senior citizens, Sanathan Dharam Saba and Majlish-E-Shoura committee Kishtwar and all the political parties of district Kishtwar. The meeting, held at the Conference Hall of District Police Headquarters (DPO) Kishtwar, aimed to foster dialogue and collaboration between law enforcement and community stakeholders.During the inaugural meeting, participants raised various issues pertinent to the district's well-being. Concerns ranged from drug abuse to illegal sale of liquor by vegetable vendors and Kiryana shop keepers, identification and action against miscreants, traffic congestion and awareness programmes for drivers, change in timing for entry of heavey vehicles in Kishtwar town, construction/renovation of footpaths, issue of Rehriwalas to be resolved by allocating them alternate space, slapping of PSA to repeated drug syndicates. Emphasis was placed on the imperative of maintaining peace, fostering brotherhood, and collectively striving for a drug-free Kishtwar.*SSP Kishtwar Sh. Abdul Qayoom-JKPS* attentively listened to the concerns and suggestions put forth by the participants. He assured them that their feedback would be diligently considered and implemented to address ground-level challenges. Moreover, the officer assured that the concerns related to civil administration shall be taken-up with concerned departments, whereas, those pertaining to Police shall be met on priority basis. He also urged all the stakeholders to collaborate with the District Police Kishtwar in its efforts to foster development and combat drug abuse for which identification of drug hotspots shall be intensified and accordingly counselling of youths shall be done, besides, stringent action including PITNDPS shall be enforced against the drug peddlers.*In line with the government's Nasha Mukth Bharat Abhiyan, SSP Kishtwar Sh. Abdul Qayoom-JKPS* encouraged active participation from the community and solicited suggestions for organizing activities aimed at promoting a drug-free environment in Kishtwar.The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from all parties to work together towards a safer, healthier, and more prosperous Kishtwar.
